Recently (not so perhaps) YSL released a new foundation whose name is inspired by the cult favourite eye brightener Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch). Not surprisingly, this foundation is known better as an illuminating foundation.
The coverage is quite sheer, enough to conceal my freckles, but not enough to give a flawless finish. The finish however is rather glowy and is great as functioning as a natural highlighter.
I find a single pump is more than enough for the entire face, and because the foundation does lean towards the sheerer end of the spectrum, the shade you select can be more forgiving. For example, the shade I’m wearing is Beige 10, however upon swatching it on my hand I knew it was going to be far too light for me, but after blending it into my face it felt like a perfect match!
It has a very subtle scent, but nothing major enough to put me off the foundation. And honestly you can hardly smell it once you’ve applied it.
The packaging is rather decedent, heavy glass bottle with gold lid and pump. Not the most travel friendly of bottles, but it’s one of those products you feel great using! I know, superficial yeah? This IS a beauty blog π
The photo above has the right half of my face (my right! Your left!) with the foundation, with the left side is completely bare. The photo below when with the foundation is on my entire face.
You can purchase this foundation online for $55US or check out Myer or David Jones. Not 100% what the Aussie price for this is unfortunately π
