Over the years I’ve grown most picky regarding the palettes that catch my eye. For example I am not a fan of any lip palettes as I much prefer lipstick bullets, and I dislike having any cream products sitting in the same palette as powder products. Hence why Tarte’s Amazonian palette appealed to me right away.
This palette contains 6 eyeshadows and 2 blushes, the palette generally contains very wearable everyday colours. The lighter shades can be used for work, with the darker shades being used as eyeliner as well as taking the entire look into the evening.
I really love the choice of colours here, I’ve been using this palette exclusively for work for a while now and it’s great that I can pick all my colours from this one palette rather than reaching for a number of different products. The whole package is really adorable and makes for a great looking clutch.
The pigmentation for all 8 products is quite high in my opinion, even though in the swatches below for some eyeshadows you can hardly tell what the colour is, it is mostly because the shade is such a close match to my own skin tone.
My only negative comment with regards to the products is the blendablilty. The pigment and quality of these eyeshadows are great, but I felt that I had to be careful with how I placed the darker colours because it took quite a bit more effort to blend the shades into each other evenly.
Still a really great, wearable palette and I’d recommend this to anyone who isn’t looking for anything too over the top, and prefer to use more wearable colours.
You can purchase this palette for $44US online.
