Last week I was luckily enough to be invited by Kit Cosmetics to try out their new Bare Minerals range by Bare Escentuals.
When I arrived I was greeted by my very own makeup artist, the lovely Leah Capponi who is Kit Cosmetic’s National Make Up Artist. She was a serious burst of positivity and energy, it was rather contagious ;D
Leah applied all my face makeup you see in the photo below, my initial impression is that the coverage is around medium, and leaves you with a very smooth and natural finish. I really loved the Prime Time primer used, it felt so silky upon application. I think however that you need to make sure your skin is well moisturised before to ensure a smooth application.

I’m gonna go back to mineral foundation, seeing as summer is nearly here. I’ve tried many different mineral foundations but never this one, my sister actually recommended it to me but I got frustrated with loose powders and stuck to MAC. I can’t wait 🙂

I’m actually looking for another powder foundation at the moment. Rather bummed that I can’t find a stockist for my current HG which is on its last legs. Will definitely check this out next time i’m in the city!

I’ve been using Mineral Essentials in Honey, but I think that it’s only available through select resellers. I got it from my hairdresser while his daughter was selling their product. I’m happy to try something different though, I might find something even better!
You might! That’s why I love to try new cosmetics all the time, the never ever hunt for that HG 😀 And then some ;D

I picked up some Bare Minerals foundation in New York last year but the girl at Sephora colour matched me way too dark so I’ve never used my foundation which is a bit of a shame. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the products!
That really sucks, any way you could find maybe a cheaper lighter powder to fix it in with? Else maybe a bronzer for contouring might help 🙁 I hate when SA always match me dark ><
Woo! I would love to see your review/swatches of all the pretties in the Get Started pack as I’m thinking of buying it… I don’t really like light-coverage foundation and I’m a bit worried this will be light-coverage..although you did say medium! So we’ll see!
Ooh okay, hmmm. I want to swatch them in a way you’d actually find helpful, so I might try and swatch them on a friend with darker skin so you can see how much voerage it actually gives (if it blends into my skin you can’t tell) I have been told it’s not very good at covering freckles, but I haven’t see that first hand. So would you consider that light or medium? I find it light to medium, I think it can be built.
