I seem to be on a bit of an eye primer kick at the moment, but then who doesn’t love a good eye primer? π I’m a massive fan of the Laura Mericer range, I’m just a bit sad at how neglected and unloved the counters at Myer and David Jones are every time I pay them a visit. On the other hand it does give me lots of uninterrupted play time π
Their eye primer comes in a range of shades, which is something I really love because not everyone has fair skin. But what struck me as cool is that it comes in a pale blue shade that is designed to brighten and highlight your eyes~ That is something I want to try once I’ve finished the primers I’m working through at the moment.
As you can see in the photo above, the product is very creamy and thick, which caught me by surprise at first and I accidently applied way too much. So if you were to try this, just remember that fact, a little goes a very long way for this particular primer.
The primer managed to keep my eye makeup intact for the entire working day (10 hrs+), it glided on to my eye lids without any drag π
A tube version might be nice for hygiene reasons, but if you don’t share it with anyone then it probably isn’t an issue.
Overall, love this primer, would certainly buy again~ Laura Mercier is one of my favourite brands for my work / everyday looks, but also Laura Mercier herself is an artist, a title I loosely identify myself with π

Great review I have this one and quite like it, even good to use alone to wake the eyes up a bit for those I’m not really wearing makeup kind of days π
Celina says
Thanks! That’s a great idea, I haven’t tried that yet, I will give it a go π

It is interesting how unloved customers are at these stores. Bobbi Brown is guilty of this as well. I have tried the peach which isn’t the right shade at all for me but it was additional with a purchase. The light blue does sound interesting.
Celina says
So true, I end up just leaving if I have to stand there clearly needing help for too long π
Dempeaux says
I owned this in Wheat and loved how easily eyeshadow glided over the top. However, it would crease on me after about two hours wear because my lids are so oily. It’s a great ‘medium hold’ primer though, and I wish I could use it! π
Celina says
Oh no, that sucks π I had that same issue with the e.l.f eye primer, it worked wonderfully on me, but creased like crazy on prettymom π Hmm, I always thought my lids were oily, but maybe they really aren’t!
Maddy says
I so agree with you on how unloved LM counters are in Myers and DJ. At Myers, Chaddy, they never had anyone either to answer questions or show the products
Celina says
I actually just got back from Chaddy and the LM counter at Myer has been removed now, so in terms of Myer, only in the City and Doncaster π Laura Mercier not getting enough love in Melbourne maybe?

Great review! I’ve been considering this from All Cosmetics Wholesale… Might take the plunge! (:
Celina says
Thanks! π I think the only additional advise I can give is Dempeaux’s warning that it may not work as well if your eyelids are extremely oily, I thought mine were but now I reckon they probably are only semi-oily π Let me know how you find it!

Love Laura Mercier although I havent’ tried this one yet – from your reviews it looks amazing though π
Celina says
It’s really great, but now I have so much primer I need to work through :X
coco says
i must be the unluckiest person! another primer that i tried and doesn’t work! lucky the sales was nice enough to perform the test on my lids before i waste my money.
Celina says
Man, I think maybe my eyelids are not as oily has I originally thought π Primers that work for me seem to fail on oilier lids! Good thing you didn’t waste your money, esp cause LM is $$ in Australia!!
Emily says
I am slowly growing more and more obsessed with LM products! This sounds like another great one!
Celina says
Yay! Their product range is amazing, so many great neutrals, I want to own more *_* I especially love that Laura Mercier herself started off as an artist! Something I’ve always always wanted to be π
Stacey says
There’s NEVER anyone at the LM counter in DJs in Adelaide, either. I often look at these on Strawberrynet, so it’s great to see your review π
Celina says
I wonder why there is so little love for LM in Australia π
