A while back Bobbi Brown released a new range of skin care called Robbi Brown Remedies, which offered targeted solutions for a range of skin issues. You can read up more about the entire range here on the Bobbi Brown website.
Naturally I gravitated towards the products aimed at dry skin and I ended up picking up the Skin Moisture Solution Intense Rehydration Compound serum which I’ve grown to love very quickly!
The way I personally use this is the step -just- before I apply any oily based serums or my moisturiser, however I only ever use this on the dry patches / areas on my face. The instructions do recommend you use it all over your face, but I like to find ways to stretch my skin care especially when it’s this expensive!
The best example I can give for this serum is this: Think of the desert, how the ground is so dry that it starts to crack. The ground is so dry that when you pour water over it, it just rolls right off because of how dry the ground is. That’s what dry skin for me is like.
When I apply this serum, it softens my dry skin so that when I apply my moisturiser on top of it later I can really feel my moisturiser working and hydrating my skin! Reminds me a bit of a primer, it preps my skin so that it can better absorb the serums or moisturizer afterwards.
And for that, I absolutely love it! Especially right after a shower when my skin often feels taut and dry, this works perfectly. The consistency is not oily, in fact it has a thicker watery consistency upon initial contact and then very quickly becomes sticky after you either rub or pat it into the skin.
All in all, if you suffer from dry skin I would highly recommend you give this little bottle a try!
