China Glaze’s Holiday 2010 collection was so big I had to split it into two posts, and I didn’t even buy the entire collection (16 polishes) either, just colours I thought I’d enjoy~ All polishes are without top coat, but they did require 3 coats each. I guess it is hard to find bright opaque shades 🙁
Ruby Deer
A bright crème red, a few shades brighter than Orly’s Candy Cane Lane from last week. Solid red polishes to me are statement colours, they reflect boldness and confidence, and I find brighter colours a better representation of youth and darker shades to reflect maturity and elegance. This is the only polish from this post that only needed 2 coats.
Frosty
A white frosty shimmer polish, and I really do seem to have a thing for the white frosty polishes this holiday season! I just feels so clean and refreshing, whilst being modern and edge cutting. And I’m a real sucker for modern decor. I love wearing this alone to a nice dinner, or top it with Orly’s Winter Wonderland for that added festive kick! The two go great together~
Cheers To You
A metallic silver polish, almost looks white from certain angles at a glance. It’s very shimmery and I don’t think it would appeal to everyone just because it is so loud and “in your face”. It’s one of those shades where I really like it, but where will I use it? If it’s any consolation, I think the metallic shades from this collection had the best formulation.
Midnight Kiss
A soft shimmer gold, which I find surprisingly wearable for everyday with a slight twist. It’s almost as metallic as Cheers To You, though I find it to be a little bit more tamed.
Party Hearty
Gold, silver, green and red glitters galore, upon closer inspection you can see the red glitter is the largest parts, followed by green then the gold and silver mix. The lacquer itself is clear so there is no pigmentation to you, making it a great polish for layering.
Overall
A lot of people seem to love Party Hearty, but I am just not a fan for some reason. I’d be the boring one, and walk away with Frosty if I had to pick.

All online from either ebay or places like transdesign.com etc~ Sooo much cheaper if you’re willing to hunt a bit, especially China Glaze polishes are only like $2-3 a bottle *_* As opposed to what you’d probably pay in Australia e.g) $10-15 -_-;;;
I’m super lucky too that I’ve been given bigger discounts on my purchases cause I’m a blogger and rarely I’ll have stuff sent to me for free *_*
