Dior has released two stunning limited edition eyeshadow palettes as part of the Dior Summer 2015 Collection, also known as Tie Dye. These two 5 eyeshadow palettes / 5 Couleurs come in Contraste Horizon and Ambre Nuit ($103AUD / $62USD)
If you’ve purchased and loved any 5 eyeshadow palette from Dior then you won’t be disappointed by the quality of these two. Rich in colour and highly pigmented as per the swatches and blends like a dream.
I picked up both of these online, I honestly was only planning to purchase the signature palette Contraste Horizon, but after seeing how beautiful (and neutral) Ambre Nuit was, I couldn’t leave either behind.
Contraste Horizon comes with a good mix of warm neutrals and vibrant summer shades. Starting with a shimmery light moss green, a great above the crease shade. The golden yellow shimmer shade is a great centre of the lid or inner corner shade. The white in the middle is actually matte and would work better as a bone shade to help prevent the look from being overly shimmery OR applied directly on the waterline instead. The rich brown shimmer shade would be a perfect outer corner or crease shade and finally the signature shade, a beautiful turquoise shade that is the better lower lash shade for that pop of colour.
Ambre Nuit I think speaks for itself. It’s a beautiful neutral palette that I can see being very popular. It comes with a satin peach shade, great for all over the lid. A shimmery bronze shade for the crease with a centre nude ultra-shimmery shade for highlighting your inner corner, brow bone or centre of your lids. A great chocolate brown for the outer corner and a darker tanned shade for your crease or lid.
Personally if I was picking a palette based purely on usability then without a doubt it would be the Ambre Nuit, but if you love the shades in Contraste Horizon then you will not be disappointed. Both palettes are work checking out, they have amazing quality and will be out of stock very soon!
You can pick up one or two for yourself from David Jones, Nordstrom.
