If you’re as beauty obsessed as me and read way too many blogs, watch too many YouTube videos to be considered healthy then you’ll definitely have heard of Michael Todds True Organics Skincare range. It was one of those skincare brands that released a mountain of new products a little while back and announced this to the world by sending a truck load of products to many well-known bloggers.
So naturally I’ve had a keen eye on Michael Todds products, but never took the time to purchase any myself because I already have about 10 bottles of every skincare product imaginable at home to work through. But then Ozsale approached me and offered some credit to use on their website, which I almost dismissed at first (something I do with 95% of the offers I get), but as soon as I realised they stocked Michael Todds, I thought this is the best time to give them a go!
I decided to just take a couple of weeks out of my regular skincare routine and just play around with all the products I managed to pick out to see how I felt. Just to let you know, I pretty much exclusively obtained products for dry skin or to combat anti-aging.
Generally I’ll admit that each of the products have a tendency to smell very different from one another, there isn’t a general scent that the brand identifies with in terms of skincare. But keep in mind the scents are strong!
I found both the Skin Defender AHA Cleanser and Tropical Fruit Scrub to be surprisingly gentle on the skin. Often I can’t tell if cream cleansers are actually doing a good job at cleaning or not, and this was unfortunately one of those. However the scrub did have seeds on the larger side and so when used gently left my skin feeling soft and exfoliated. It’s on the watery side, which makes it a little harder to manage, but the results are great!
The Cranberry Antiox Toner is nice to use, but is a little strong on the “alcohol” smell side, which I find strange for a product designed to be hydrating. Wouldn’t recommend this.
Liposome Antiox Moisturizer and Antiox Serum were definitely good purchases, not sure I would personally buy them again as I prefer products with more a subtle scent, but they certainly left my skin feeling smooth and soft, always a major plus!
My favourite however would be the Avocado Mango Mask, actually in part due to the scent! I -love- fruits, mangos are certainly on the top of my list so wearing this is almost as good as eating the fruit. Not to mention how lovely my skin felt afterwards. Highly recommend if you’re a “fruity” 🙂
All in all, I’m feeling pretty positive over this skincare range, some products are better than others, so if you get the opportunity, I would try purchasing a small set to begin with 🙂
In terms of Ozsale, if you’re looking for a bargain then this is a great place to have a browse, just keep in mind that the ship time can be quite long. I had to pay for my shipping, but because it was durig a special it was only $1 🙂 My order took around one month to arrive, so give yourself a lot of time!
