Angelique is a beautiful matte muted rose blush released as part of Chanel’s Spring 2015 collection. I picked this up online, but did so with a bit of uncertainty. I only say that because I had gone to the Chanel counters locally to test it out first and found the pigmentation to be pretty average. Maybe it was just the state the testers were in, but I struggled to get much colour as I swatched it in store.
But as I placed my order online for a few other products, I couldn’t get over how beautiful the colour was, so I threw it in my shopping cart and am so glad I did! The one I picked up is perfect, silky powder and lovely pigmentation. Couple of swipes is all I needed to achieve what I would consider a pretty heavy blush application in the photos above (I tend to pile it on a bit more for photos so it’s clearer)
It’s a highly wearable shade, which is a huge plus for me. I love the stunningly bright shades like any other person, but every time I get ready for work I find those shades difficult to use without an extremely light hand. Nothing worse than rushing to get to work and applying way too much blush! Trust me, people at work give you weird looks. At least with this, I can be a little more liberal and carefree with my application. Definitely recommend it!
If you’re interested, I purchased mine online for $45USD, and I know it is also locally available from David Jones and Myer.
