I have a bit of a feeling I may be releasing this review a little too late, but decided I would blog about it anyways because it is one of my new favourite palettes and I wanted an opportunity to rave on about the included Caviar Stick (and my need to possibly buy more now…)
This set comes with a palette that contains 12 eyeshadows, 6 mattes and 6 shimmers. One Caviar Stick and one mini tube of mascara. My focus initially was around the palette, which is not surprising given it is the main attraction of the set. The eyeshadows are very finely milled and very pigmented, I’m really quite impressed with the quality of Laura Mercier eyeshadows lately. It makes applying eyeshadow in the morning so much more fun than how it used to be, where I’d used to need to dig into a rock solid eyeshadow to get any sort of colour pay off.
The 12 different shades naturally bring a wide array of different looks you could put together, I decided to try a purple eye as featured above, just to avoid doing my typical neutral eye 🙂 But I have used this palette for a few neutral looks at work too, which worked out great!
However the high point for this set was the Caviar Stick, it was incredibly creamy and pigmented. It glided on like a dream, no resistance what so ever. This set only provided a rather small stick in a rich chocolate brown shade, so I’m definitely adding a couple other shades to my future shopping list to try 🙂 Can’t wait!
If this set is still available, it was going for $80USD online, not the cheapest out there, but if it’s in your budget, it’s worth it! Good luck with the hunt!
