For a season that just screams pastels and soft shades, Chanel decided to take a bit of a turn and went with shades I’d mostly associated with Fall / Autumn. Today I have two shades from their Spring 2014 collection. They may not be your traditional spring colours, but in my opinion they are gorgeous none the less! They are true cremes, not a hint of glitter or shimmer and I love them. Highly work appropriate and the formula is divine.
I could just get away with using one coat for each shade if I wanted to, but for the sake of this post I’ve gone ahead and used the standard two coats with no top coat.

In real life this appears to have more pink under tones, as opposed to appearing quite red online. I always find bright pinky reds difficult to photography, they tend to lean towards being more red in photos. Never the less, this is a beautiful shade and probably leans closer to the traditional summer / spring colours than Charivari does.
Charivari
A dark deep slightly muted purple creme, it did remind me of Chanel’s Paradoxal minus the duo chrome shimmer finish. If you weren’t a fan of the shimmer from Paradoxal, but loved the shade then give this a go! It’s deliciously pigmented and glides on the nails.
If you’re interested, I think these polishes may still be available for $39AUD a pop at any Chanel counter.
