When it comes to Ellis Faas, I’m a pretty new to the brand. I’ve not had the opportunity to try much else from the range, though I had seen the brand a number of times in the shops. So when I was recently sent Hot Lips to try out, I was pretty excited to see what the brand was all about.
Hot Lips is essentially long wearing liquid lipstick. To apply, you simple need to twist the bottom of the bullet till the product seems through the tip. Initially you’re going to need quite a number of twists until the product starts to show, but after that take care with the twists because too many will release too much product that you can’t put that back into the tube.
In terms of quality, this is certainly an extremely pigmented liquid lipstick. So long as your lips are hydrated, it applies smoothly and dries a bit like a stain. It still has a sheen to it, but if you were to wipe your lips you would definitely have a lot of colour left over. A little goes a long way!
Personally I think these would be great for a dinner out or even a meal out just because I’d feel confident that my lip colour would remain despite eating. It does have a tendency to fade over time, but it’s nothing like most other lipsticks that pretty much disappear after a meal. Love these!
If you’re interested, you can purchase them for $49AUD each at Mecca Cosmetics.

Interesting. Also the packaging, it looks like a fancy pen – how does it compare in size? 🙂

It is 😀 Such a good question, I should post photos of my hand as a comparison, it’s like slightly longer than a standard pen
