A while back Laura Mercier introduced 6 new eyeliner pencils into their collection. These liners are known to be smooth, creamy and very long lasting. The ladies at LM were kind enough to send one my way to try!
This particular eyeliner immediately reminded me of the very popular Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils as well as the NYX Slide On pencils. Because of this, I had a suspicion it would also perform in a very similar manner, and yep! I was not surprised 🙂
This pencil is incredibly creamy, smooth and glides on without much pressure. And the pigmentation is incredibly rich. Typically I prefer to use pencil liners for my water line or to fill in the space between my upper lashes. I’m more a gel / liquid liner kind of girl otherwise.
As a result I’ve been using this pencil on my waterline and found it can last a good few hours before I need to reapply. I find I usually need to set the eyeliner with some matching eye shadow powder in order for it to last all day long.
Definitely is a general all found good quality more upmarket eyeliner pencil. I love that Espresso is still pigmented enough to define my eyes, but not as harsh as a black. I have probably more black eyeliners than I’d like to admit so having a brown to soften the look is a nice change.
If you’re interested in checking out the rest of the range, you can find them at Laura Mercier counters now for $30AU each.
