Nuxe Reve de Miel Review and Photos

If you follow French skincare then you know this little tub of lip balm is a cult favourite within the beauty online community. It’s by the famous French skincare brand called NUXE and is one I’ve often seen featured as a monthly favourite for a lot of beauty vloggers on Youtube!

When I went to Paris last year I made sure to pick up a tub for myself just to try. But let’s face it, I went a bit crazy and am still working through a backlog of products so I never got around to testing it. Come this year, NUXE landed on Aussie shores and the lovely girls from NUXE sent across this little tub for me to try! So now I have two! And I figured now would be a good time to finally give this baby a try~

If you’re not familiar with NUXE products then be prepared for some heavily scented skincare! A lot of people love that, I’m less of a fan though I’m willing to work through it for a good product, and in some cases even find myself getting used to it.

You’ll notice this is not a greasy / slippy sort of lip balm, in fact it’s rather thick in consistency and requires a bit of warmth from your fingers initially to pick up enough product for application.

The scent really reminds me of lemons and the consistency of the balm does contain what feels like sugar particles. It’s definitely a thick lip balm so I use it exclusively at night. It does take a bit of getting used to, I’m really more used to very greasy slippy sort of lip balms, but admittedly it was a nice change to try something that felt like it had a bit more weight behind it.

All those issues aside, you can’t fault this product for doing what it’s suppose to so. And that is leave you with incredibly soft, smooth lips that make applying lipsticks so much easier! This really is quite a luxurious product and it does leave you with “pout perfect” lips, so long as you can see past all the other factors 🙂
