Time for some Christmas collections, don’t you think? Today I am featuring ORLY’s Naughty or Nice Holiday 2012 collection (adorable name!) This collection (as with most Christmas collections) is a strong mix of glitters and shimmers, with one stand out crème shade. The formula for these are just fine, nothing too noteworthy. All swatches are 2 layers without any top coat.
Angel Eyes
A clear polish mixed with blue micro glitters and large holographic glitters. Aside from the occasional bump from the larger glitters this does have a smooth finish. Enough layers of this will completely cover your entire nail, though it can be used as a top coat for a more pigmented shade.
Devil May Cry
Am I the only one who thinks about the video game when I see this polish? It really reminds me of Dante’s red coat and “gold” (more like white) hair. I swear this polish is dedicated to him! Anyways this polish is pretty chunky, packed with a whole bunch of red glitters with a few specks of gold.
China Glaze’s Love Marliyn is pretty much the same except rather than gold it comes with silver glitters and the ratio between red and silver glitters is equal, as opposed to Devil May Cry which is dominated by red.
Halo
Love this polish, it’s just so precious! A mixture of large and smaller silver glitters, would be the perfect top coat for a metallic or crème white polish. I love that it looks like little diamonds on my nails. If you need a dupe, think Essie’s Set in Stones and China Glaze’s Techno, however they do contain larger sized glitters.
Miss Conduct
Probably my favourite from this collection! A mauve pink polish packed with micro silver shimmers. The finish is very smooth and elegant, and surprisingly I could find a dupe! Try OPI’s Meep Meep Meep, which is very similar only a tad darker.
Torrid
A metallic blood red polish with the tiniest of red micro shimmers. Essie’s Head Mistress is a darker version, same for Chanel’s Malice which is much much darker.
Unlawful
The stand out crème from this collection, a true red. Beautiful, highly pigmented and easily duped. To name a few, China Glaze’s Poinsettia and Zoya’s Sooki.
