Tom Ford’s recent Fall 2012 collection came with an array of new colours for existing products they already have as part of their permanent collection, however this lip and cheek stain caught my eye because one currently does not exist! So naturally I scooped it up to try and I have to admit this is probably one of the better lip and cheek stains in my experience.
Previous lip and cheek stains I’ve tried tend to be far more liquid, and so unless you blend it out straight away they tend to be very difficult to smooth out later on. However with this product, because it is a cream, there is a little more flexibility with blending. And whilst it is in a cream lipstick bullet form, it is actually a lot less creamy than a traditional lipstick.
It blends very easily and really is designed to be a stain because it isn’t great at providing 100% opaque coverage. I found it much easier to apply and blend on the cheeks (needed a few swipes to get the level of opacity I have in the photos), likely because the surface is smoother than on my lips which I found a bit more challenging to move away from the blotchy effect.
All in all, I really am enjoying this product and it’s one I’ll keep around. I know it was designed for colder weather, but I can see myself using this during our (hopefully) upcoming warmer months 🙂
If you are interested, you can purchase this online for $48US.

This is so cute! I recently bought a liquid cheek stain, but I don’t like the way I have to work super fast to get it to blend properly. This one looks like a match made in heaven!

You have the most fantastically beautiful skin! I’m dealing with dermatitis at the moment, and this is what I fantasize about. 🙂

I just stumbled upon this Cheek & Lip stain and it took forever to find real life photos. I have sensitive lips that tend to flake. Is this stain moisturizing at all?
