This month Dior released a range of new products to join their Diorsnow makeup and skincare line, and I was fortunate enough to be sent a selection of items from the collection that I wanted to share on this blog. I’ve been using these products for a few weeks now so the photos below have been taken at different times and days, but I hope it gives you a good idea as to how each of the products work ๐
The first product that caught my eye was the Colour Correcting Radiance Powder. It’s a beautiful multi-coloured powder that I personally use for very subtle highlighting. I found it to be a great alternative to traditional highlighters I use that often can come off a bit too shimmery for me. Especially if I’m feeling extra “fancy” for work and decided to throw on a bit of highlighter, I often find myself having to go over it again with my face powder brush to tone down the shimmer.
Loving any Dior eyeshadow shouldn’t come as a surprise, I’ve reviewed many of them in my day. Though I can’t admit that my first pick would be pink, I decided to try experimenting and I’m pretty happy with how I managed to use it over time, certainly more a weekend colour for me but the shades are soft enough to wear daily if you prefer ๐ The quality is essentially the same as any other Dior palette so if pink isn’t your thing, you won’t be disappointed by the quality of the other shades.
I was admittedly a bit impartial to the Dior Addict Gloss in Edelweiss since I don’t personally use glosses much myself, let alone one that doesn’t have a ton of pigmentation but it was certainly handy bringing out the shine for some of my matte lipsticks and pencils. However the product that really grabbed my attention was the Diorsnow BB Cream. The pigmentation is very much like a standard foundation, not at all sheer. But I love how it left my skin during and after wear. It’s a bit like wearing a thick moisturiser the whole time. After I remove it my skin feels soft and supple. Massive bonus! That said, be aware that this is probably better for drier skins like myself, since it does give your skin quite a bit of shine and dewiness afterwards. Nothing a bit of powder can’t fix, but worth keeping in mind.
