I’m no stranger to magnetic polishes, but even still when I saw this on the Dior counter I couldn’t walk away!
For those new to the concept of magnetic polishes, basically you apply a thick coat of the polish. I prefer to one coat this look to make it easier, but if you prefer to apply multiple thinner coats, then you only need to do the next step for the last coat you apply.
Whilst the polish is still wet, hold the provided magnet above it for around 10 or so seconds. Go as close as you can without touching the polish. Afterwards lift up the magnetic and viola! A very cool wave / ripple design on your nails ๐ The metal bits in the polish move based on the attraction to the magnet to form the design you see below.
Like I said, not a new concept but still very cool none the less, especially because this is such a metallic shade to begin with.
As for the polish itself, I love this colour! It’s a dark turquoise shade and I found the formula to be relatively thick and easy to apply. Plus, because this is a full sized Dior polish, the brush has that curve to it making application simple.
I may be a sucker for a gimmick, but I do love this polish regardless ๐
If you’re interested, you can purchase it for $26US online, however I purchased mine from the Dior counter at David Jones for I think around $40AUish. It’s a couple dollars more than the standard Dior polish.
