As I mentioned last week, Astor is a European brand I discovered whilst travelling through Europe earlier this year. I managed to review one of their glosses a little while back and now it’s time to test out one of their many mascaras.
This particular mascara is designed to be volumising, exactly the reason I decided to pick this up, volumising mascaras are my thing.
The first thing I noticed about this mascara is the insanely large bristle. Which unfortunately is the one thing that really put me off, I’m not a fan of large brushes. I work much better with smaller thinner brushes due to my own naturally thin lashes, plus I find I have better control.
That said, I was still able to get a decent amount of volume for this mascara, it was a bit of a struggle for me personally (though I know plenty of bloggers who adore large brushes).
Brush aside, this was a pretty average mascara. It lasted an entire work day with only minimal smudging and really helped defined my lashes. But even if Astor were available locally in Australia, I don’t think I’d re-purchase. There are just too many other much better options to choose from.
Unfortunately I can’t tell you how much this was or where to purchase it, but if you’re travelling through Europe be sure to check out the Astor stand.

Could you suggest any mascara for volume ?

Lancome Hypnose! My favourite volumising mascara atm 🙂 Though admittedly not cheap 🙁 Maybelline’s Falsies however is a great cheaper alternative 🙂
