Emerald Lust is the second eye shadow palette released as part of Tom Ford’s Fall 2012 collection. If you’re interested, you can read my review on the first palette called Enchanted.
Generally speaking, I find my thoughts on Enchanted also applicable to how I feel about Emerald Lust. The pigmentation for this palette is slightly better, but I did have to work pretty hard to get the level of colour on my eyes in the photo below. For example, I needed to use my fingers more which, as we know, always better at picking up more pigments due to the grip / moisture on our finger tips. With a brush, the deposit was quite sheer.
These aren’t bad palettes, but they don’t measure up to how amazing the permanent palettes are, which in my opinion are some of the best eye shadow palettes in the market.
Unless you are particularly drawn to these colours, I can’t honestly say you must go out and spend the amount of money these cost, they are after all pretty hefty prices. To me, they aren’t really worth it because I expected more from Tom Ford. That said, the colour range for this palette is quite lovely, and would make a very beautiful aqua smokey eye.
