Introducing China Glaze’s Electropop collection, probably one of my favourite recent collections. The formula and colours are so saturated; the hues really compliment each other perfectly. Since the collection consists of 12 polishes, I’ve split the post into two parts. Today you’ll see part 1, which is the Lights collection, and tomorrow the Brights collection. Plus tomorrow you’ll see my new favourite manicure 🙂
As always two coats with no top coat.
Dance Baby
A baby pink crème, probably one of the more wearable polishes from the collection. Very appropriate for any office environment, OPI’s Sparrow Me the Drama is a cooler version of this.
Electric Beat
A soft dusty blue crème, it’s probably a few shades to what I’d call a baby blue colour. Essie’s Coat Azure is a slightly darker and shimmerier version of this.
Fuchsia Fanatic
A deep magenta crème, I’d almost be tempted to call this another wearable shade, it’s not as opaque as the other polishes but it’s such a gorgeous shade of pink. Essie’s Super Bossa Nova is a cooler shimmerier version.
Gothic Lolita
Another vibrant purple shade, I don’t see the connection with the name but I’ve never been much of an expert when it comes to Lolita / Japanese fashion (despite being a cosplayer). I really love how saturated this colour is, it has the slightest shimmer to it which just adds to how gorgeous it is. So far the only dupe I can find for this is BYS’ Deep Purple, which is deeper and has a slightly more matte finish.
Kinetic Candy
Now this is a soft / light sky blue crème, OPI’s What’s with the Cattitude is quite a bit more saturated and Essie’s Borrowed & Blue is actually lighter.
Sweet Hook
A very baby soft purple / pink crème, I found the formula for this particular shade to be quite thick. OPI’s Rumple’s Wiggin is sheerer and Essie’s Nice is Nice is almost the same, just a tiny bit sheerer.

They are all very pretty, especially Fuchsia Fanatic and Electric Beat.

Fuchsia Fanatic is the least pastelly of the bunch so it’s easily my favorite. I just can’t pull off pastel nails with my darker skintone.

Ahhh my friend has the same issue, in fact when I get questions on whether polishes will match a darker skin tone always have to test it out on her XD
