Where: Meltie.
Every now and then I come across a product that really surprises me, in a good way! And Melties is on of those products. When I first heard about this product I couldn’t get my head around the idea of a cleanser / makeup remover inspired by ice cream!? Sounds gimmicky, and gimmicks never work well for me đ Turns out it was one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used.
The lovely people at Melties provided me with all three flavours to try out, Aloe Vera, Strawberry and Lemon. I think my favourite is surprisingly Aloe Vera (thought it would be strawberry!) just because it’s very neutral. It doesn’t have much of a scent and I found it to be pretty inoffensive.
Strawberry smells almost like bubblegum? It’s very sweet, so sweet I was -this- tempted to taste it :3 (till I read the warning lol) In fact Toby almost ate it till I told him it was a cleanser. And lemon is wonderfully refreshing to use.
The product comes in a cream form, all in tubs. You use the spatula provided to scoop up just a tiny amount, lather it up in your hands and then apply all over a wet face. You do need to scrub for a good 10 seconds or so for it to properly remove your makeup.
It did a great job at removing all my face makeup and most of the makeup around my eyes, the only part I had to use a cotton bud for is the area under my eyes. This is pretty much the case with all makeup removers since I keep my eyes closed and so the mascara stains the area under my eyes.
The only other cleanser I love just as much (for comparison) is Shiseido’s Pureness Foam Cleanser only I think this would work well with dry skin as well. It leaves your skin feeling really clean and soft.
If I would change anything, I would love to see this come in a variety of packaging. Perhaps a tube? Thanks to work, I’ve been travelling a lot more lately and I’d love a tube version of this to take with me đ
This product is designed for sensitive skin, which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Each tub is said to last for around 3-6 months, depending on your usage I assume. I’m pretty sure mine will last the longest since I only ever use cleanser / makeup remover at night.
Tempted? If you are, let me know how you go! As this isn’t a very known product I’m very keen to know what you my friends think if you do end up trying it out đ Highly recommend!

Oh I just have to try this! I would probably get the lemon, i do agree with you on the packaging, it would be a bit hard to use in the shower wouldn’t lol.
Celina says
Yes! I tend to use it at the sink otherwise knowing me I’d spill water into it. They should make a tube version for shower!
