If I had to take one neutral palette with me on a business trip, this would be it. And given my line of work, this palette has been very much loved. I’ll be the first to admit I fell in love with the cute packaging first, but as soon as I started using it I was pleasantly surprised. For only $11US, the palette is quite the deal!
You may not get a ton of product for each eye shadow, but given the pigmentation I’m pretty sure it will take a good while before you hit the pan. However, I would recommend using brushes for application, not sure how well the sponge tip applicators really works (as I personally do not use them).
With 9 shadows you get good variety in the family of neutrals with mattes, satins and shimmers, eyes can be taken from day to night. However the packaging is cheap, and so some of the pans may not be glued in properly. Not a big issue, gluing them back in will fix that. Should note this palette is extremely travel friendly, I can fit it into the palm of my hand.
The lip colours are a bit tough to apply, I usually use my fingers and whilst that doesn’t give you a clean application it’s enough for me. The brushes work great, but you’ll need to go over your lips a few times to get the right pigmentation.
Overall, I waived between 4.5 and 5 stars for this item, whilst I don’t appreciate the flimsy packaging, it is only $11US! So I’ll leave you with that, and maybe you can give your own rating π Bottom line is this is one of my favourite most versatile cheap palettes.
Note – Just letting you know that I do own the other 3 mini NYX palettes as well, and honestly they are all around the same in terms of packaging and product quality. So ultimately, the difference simply comes down to colour. I might post photos and swatches from the other 3 palettes if you like, let me know π
