Welcome to ORLY’s Viva Summer 2010 collection, four hot colours to celebrate the warmer weather and late beach nights π All swatches are 3 coats, except for La Playa which is only 2 coats. No top coat was used.
Fiesta
A deep pink shimmer that can apply quite thick. I feel like I’ve seen this colour in OPI Summer Flutter’s Flower to Flower polish before.
I haven’t actually compared the two side by side in real life, Flower to Flower seems to have fine golden shimmer instead, though the two are pretty similar in terms of colour hues.
Bailamos
A azure blue / teal shimmer with fine gold understones, which was sent me to for consideration, they must know my weakness for blues because this is my favourite colour from the collection. Then again, I always seem to favour the blues in any collection, so no surprise there.
Ole
A rich coral creme, though seems more orange in my swatches. I thought this particular polish to be the “thinnest” out of all the others, and so the 3 coats was certainly neccessary to achieve complete opacity.
La Playa
Royal blue creme, a highly pigmented polish that only needed 2 coats. One of the difficulties with working with very pigmented dark polishes is that they stain. So if you slip up a bit whilst applying, you need to clean it up straight away less it will stain your skin π
Overall
Yar, no surprise that my vote goes to Bailamos! But I can see Fiesta being the most crowd pleasing colour, a lot of people really do seem to love pink polishes π My only advice is I wouldn’t buy both Flower to Flower and Fiesta, pick out and you should be happy!
