I’ve been using my beloved Lancome Micellar Cleansing Water for so long I thought it was time to start branching out and try a few other brands with regards to toners to see if they would do anything extra for my skin. For some context, my skin is very combination and I mean very! My T zone is oily, my cheeks are normal and I have patches for extremely dry flaky areas (all of which I’ve finally managed to get rid off through a strict skin care regime! Will post about how I did this later if you’re curious)
I’ve never really tried Chanel’s skin care range before besides using a few samples here and there and figured toner is always a good entry product. It’s usually the cheapest in the line, easiest to use and least offensive.
Packaging wise, this wasn’t as convenient to use as previous toners. The black cap is insanely large, and takes up about a 1/3 of the entire bottle height so judging the amount of product based on the bottle in its entirety may be a little misleading.
Once you take the cap off, the opening is pretty simple. Tip some onto a cotton pad and then apply on your face.
I’ve currently been using this for about 2 months now and I’d say I’ve probably used about 40-45% of it. Keeping in mind each time I use this I will use a single cotton pad for my entire face and I’ll use it in the morning and evenings, occasionally during the day if I’m doing a makeup change / removing my makeup for skin care.
I probably wouldn’t re-purchase this again, I find the formula to be just a little on the drying side, like there is some alcohol in the product (there probably is, but I haven’t taken a good look at the ingredients list). I’ll definitely finish it off and move on to something else.
It’s a good all round toner, nothing special about it in my books. Which means I don’t know whether most people would want to pay $45US for this, but it’s worth grabbing a sample of if you’re curious before putting down the big bucks.
If you are interested, you can purchase this online for $45US.
