Today I thought I would upload a super quick and simple video going over some of my top 6 liquid foundations 🙂 It’s a pretty simple video, but I’m trying to focus in on making simpler videos that are more applicable to my day to day life 🙂 If I enjoy the new change then there’s a good chance I’ll be releasing videos weekly again 🙂 *fingers crossed*
To finish off this week I have another blogger’s event vlog to share with you, this time it was Lancome’s new Myer Counter opening in Melbourne CBD 🙂 It was such a beautiful and lush event and I cannot wait to review the new Miracle Cushion Foundation for you all in the coming weeks 🙂 Hope you enjoy the vlog!
I’ve been keeping my everyday makeup ultra-light and simple! It’s my go to look that I’ll use whenever I either have no idea what makeup I should use, when I go to work or when I’m in an incredible rush!
In other words, it’s my everyday natural makeup tutorial. I filmed this quite some time ago so wasn’t sure if it was still worth uploading, but let me tell you trying to get even lighting on your face whilst filming against such a bright background is no easy feat and so I decided this was certainly worth uploading 🙂 I hope you enjoy it!
I plan on sharing this particular photo on Instagram, but thought it would be nice to share a few outtakes from the video here too 🙂
A little over a month ago two of my dearest friends tied the knot and I thought I would film myself getting ready~ One of the key things to note about this look (and honestly it reflected a mood I was going through at the time) is that I’m not wearing anything on my eye lids. Which is a first for me because applying copious amounts of eye shadow has always been my signature look and what I focus most if not all my makeup around.
But I was surprised with all put together a look could still be without eye shadow, not to mention how much faster it was to get ready! I decided not to include a voice over this time because after spending several hours mixing the music with a kit I bought, I wanted it let it play out without any interruptions 🙂 And I kinda prefer my video without the voice over at the moment 🙂
Also apologises for the shaky shots in some of the clips! Might need to bring a point and shoot instead next time 🙂
Today’s video is a “wearable” mermaid look, I have a full face mermaid look I’ve been wanting to film for a while, but I’m planning to do that later this year in the right setting, so for now I thought I’d put together a more wearable version today, knowing full well that this isn’t that wearable at all!
It’s been quite a while since I last filmed a video for my main channel, I could blame work and general life but if I was honest with myself, it’s that I’m not really interested in making the sort of videos I used to. I love makeup tutorials, but I’m certainly not as obsessed with them as I used to be, and just filming a look in my room feels… well boring! Which is a big reason why I stopped uploading videos as often as I did because I felt that on my main channel, I had clearly established it as a makeup channel and so that’s what I had to continue being focused on for my audience.
But after some thought, I’ve realising now that there isn’t any point creating videos I don’t personally enjoying as much as I used to. Whether people want to watch or not, the whole concept is pointless because I’ll make videos I don’t enjoy and people can tell the passion isn’t there and won’t watch them anyways.
So I’m taking steps to clear my mind and really plan out videos I personally would want to watch and hence make. It sounds weird that –that- concept in itself would be difficult to achieve, but for me it surprisingly is! I’m very used to setting a plan and following through what people expect of me, pretty much like my day job. And so changing my perception to focus more on what I want to do, well that’s going to take a bit of time, but I hope to get there quickly so I can ramp up my videos to a more stable schedule 🙂 Right now I’m aiming for once a fortnight and once I find my groove, I’ll hopefully get back to once a week 🙂
Every morning when I know I plan on taking some outfit photos I make a point to pile on the makeup just a little bit more so my features can stand out better. It’s easy to default to “everyday makeup” and have your eyes lost in the photo. I decided this time before I headed out to shoot my outfit this week that I would film myself putting my makeup on 🙂 Hope you enjoy the video!
Living in the southern hemisphere means that welcoming in the New Year is filled with sun and summer! Which is one of my favourite times of year 🙂 People are usually still on break and the weather is amazing, not to mention the long nights 🙂 I thought this would be a great opportunity to share with you some of my Summer Essentials that I do my best never to leave the house without~ Hope you enjoy the video!
We’ve finally come to the end of 2014 (or at least almost) and I decided that instead of cycling through a bunch of random favourite products, I would instead go through all the products that I reviewed on my blog for 2014 and pull out my top 10!
It was actually a pretty tough choice, as there was quite the selection, but I managed to narrow it down to products I’ve caught myself reusing even after I’d completed the review and feel confident in.
I do however need to apologise ahead of time that most of these products are pretty high end. I’ve found that on my blog I tend to review products I would personally use day to day, which tends to be higher end. However when it comes to filming videos I try and use more drugstore makeup to make sure anyone is able to recreate them if they want (without breaking the bank!)
Hope you enjoy the video 🙂

It’s been about one year since I last filmed a What’s in My Travel Makeup and Skincare Bag! With all the travel I’ve been doing this year I’ve gone through probably 4-5 different “sets” or travel makeup bags, but this was the most complete one I had. Usually when I travel for work I keep it extremely minimal (and I’d be happy to show you that sometime if you like!)
Hope you enjoy the video~
