This review is a long time coming because for almost 10 over Book of Fable chapters this has been my go to foundation, and justifiably so!
The foundation feels amazing on my skin, whether my skin was normal combination or going through that dry period when I was travelling a lot, it just worked and didn’t enhance any of my dry patches. I’d consider the formula to be medium coverage and of relatively medium to a bit on the thick side regarding consistency, which is something I always prefer over overly liquid foundations because I can always thin out a foundation with moisturiser, but I can’t go the other way around.
I can apply this foundation equally well with a synthetic brush or fingers. It has a pretty obvious fruity and floral scent, which quickly disappears upon application. Not that I mind the scent because it’s actually quite pleasant.
My skin is left relatively matte to dewy after application, unless I’m using a very light coat. So powder is usually necessary afterwards. I’m about 2/3rds of the way through my bottle already, and despite the insane amount of foundations I already own I will definitely be repurchasing this just because I need it in my collection. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more budget friendly foundation!
This foundation retails for $32AU at Target or Priceline in Australia. I highly recommend waiting for a sale (I got this at 50% off), I’ve never bought Bourjois at full price before because they are constantly having sales!
