Welcome to China Glaze Crackled collection, I’m probably the last blogger to make a post about this collection so please forgive my slowness 🙁
I didn’t think I would really enjoy this collection. Everyone and their cat has been talking about it, frankly I felt like it would be over hyped.
But surprisingly once I did manage to get my hands on these, I found myself falling in love with them. I dunno, maybe it’s because the crackle comes in an array of colours, but I can see this being a great party polish to wear 🙂 And if I still went clubbing, great for hitting the clubs with!
Each polish comes with these little tabs that explain how to apply them. First apply your base coat, then 1-2 coats of your base colour. Once completely dry, apply one coat of the crackle polish and watch it take effect. (This is actually the best part!) Then apply a top coat to finish.
Standard black, if you haven’t already head over to read about my comparison with this, OPI and BYS. I love how it looks like it has almost raised my base colour with it! Very cool 🙂
Hot pink, great fun colour to work with~ Reminds me of those cute girls dressed mainly in pink, but are actually rockers / punk musicians? Kinda like Emilie Autumn (love that girl!).
Charcoal grey polish, probably didn’t pick the best base colour for this, but at least it does stand out.
A teal crème, an interesting colour to work with, probably my least favourite from the collection, however it was a very good addition to the family.
A metallic purple, I think this may in fact be the only metallic polish from this collection, the rest all seem to be crèmes.
Matte white, the icing on the cake~ I don’t think this collection could be considered balanced without this colour 🙂
Overall, love this collection! Won’t be wearing it everyday, but certainly will be fun to wear for outings 🙂
So tell me, what’s your favourite bottle from this collection?
